I have a question. I’m a beginner to yoga, and you are currently my favorite yoga instructor on you tube. I am doing great and my back pains are almost gone thanks to your back pain videos. I can’t however do any of the positions with my head down. I immediately get a pounding headache. I just gritted my teeth and followed this video’s routine throughout a little while ago and after a short battle with myself, I had to go and take an ibuprofen, the headache just got unbearable and it hasn’t gone yet. This happens literally every single time. My blood pressure is in the normal range whenever it’s measured (it used to be high when I was obese). Do you have any advice for headaches during yoga? Perhaps there are some people that should not be doing yoga? Thank you.

I broke my right foot a couple of years ago. Wearing an Airboot for 6 weeks caused immeasurable pain in my left hip. I have been through all sorts of therapies and was resigned to the concept of chronic pain. While I have practiced yoga for several years, I had not committed to a regular practice of more than 1x per week. About a month ago, I started practicing almost every day, which was helping somewhat. Then I found Jen’s beginner series. Due to the pain, slow movement is best and here I have found it. I have decreased my pain by a good 60% and am a huge fan of this woman. My gratitude knows no bounds.
