Could you do a tutorial like this on hand stands?! Thanks!
loved her
Wondering if this is safe for someone that has had a retinal detachment 2 years ago ? I had it a couple months after a cataract surgery. Fit , 51 year old male.
I do yoga about 2-3 times a week.
Started slowly but in 2 days did it without a wall and legs totally vertical. Thanks!
That’s a bad idea
I´m sooo happy!! I can´t believe I just did a handstand. Itried it before but it just wouldn´t work out. Thank you Adriene for this amazing tutorial!!!
love your leggings! where did you get them from?
I can’t believe I just did a headstand! It took a couple of tries at first but now I can shift my weight into new poses while doing it as well! This video is amazing!
I get so frustrated doing this sometimes it’s unreal ha! At times I manage stand on my head with my legs more or less straight in the air, and other times I can’t get my other leg up. Love your videos though been following them for about two months now, 2-3 times a week, hopefully in time I can nail this pose once I’ve built on my strength. And patience and perseverance..! Thank you for you channel x
I MADE IT!!! THANKS SO MUCH! THIS IS DEFINITELY THE BEST HEADSTAND YOGA TUTORIAL ON YOUTUBE <3
I love you! ❤️❤
You’re an amazing instructor, Adrienne! you-tubers pay attention to those details. “The weight is mostly in the arms, not the head;” “not fully collapsing the neck back.” Great cues for safety!
amazing, thank you. My yoga students have been asking me to teach them this pose and I was nervous about it before seeing this 🙂
I have been struggling with this posture for two months… nailed it the first time while applying your advice ! Thank you so much Adriene 🙂
I flipped so many times trying to do this. Almost broke a bookshelf. I have so much respect for people who do yoga.

“child’s pose” = vajrAsana. I love how unhurried and centered you are. Signs of a good practitioner.
Do you need neck strength?
Why am i falling over?
Oh…my…god… the past three days I’ve been practicing and I DID IT!!!!!! I was skeptic reading the comments and seeing how fast people learned this, but wow! I actually did it! The first time I used the wall because I definitely did not trust in myself enough to balance on my own lol but then I tried it without the wall and it worked! I even held myself up for a while; not sure how long though, next time I’m going to time it to see! Thank you so, so much Adriene, you’re an amazing instructor and I just want you to know how much your videos help me find peace every night. 🙂
its important NOT to open your hands. I agree with everything other than that! having a closed grip will allow your head to be pushed up against your inner wrists/forearms, providing much more stability 🙂 other than that this is a fantastic tutorial!xx
Why did this hurt my neck? 🙁
The best
How did your yoga journey start?
In my culture (slavic) the peacock feathers bring bad luck, remove them from your surroundings despite their beauty, warm regards 🙂
This was absolutely amazing, step by step. I follow your video and now I can do it!!! Thank you! Indeed, the best
THANK YOU! thank you so much for this vid, I always struggled with this pose and only felt comfortable doing head stand with my palms open to the sides… following your tips I finally made it !!!
Adriene, you are such a smart, wonderful teacher. I love this video and all your videos. You rock.
