But a big mistake a lot of guys make is that they focus way too much on things like cutting out carbs or fats entirely when really we want to create a lifestyle plan that you can use for life.

They’re your go-to-foods in the categories of proteins, carbs, fats, and veggies. Because once you have around 3 healthy choices that you actually enjoy in each category, it becomes much easier to create your weight loss meals and plate combinations.

The Best Proteins for Weight Loss Meal Prep (2:22)

Proteins are incredibly important for your weight loss diet. Not only do they help your body maintain the muscle that boosts your metabolism, but they’re also the best at keeping our body full. So if you find yourself fighting hunger regularly throughout the day, it’s likely you could use more protein.

Here are some of our protein choices for a weight loss meal plan:
– Wild Alaskan Salmon
– Free Range Chicken
– Grass Fed Ground Beef
– Organic Turkey
– Free Range Eggs
– Tofu

There are more options out there, but make sure they’re organic and from a quality source since our goal here is health. And stay away from protein sources high in fat or sugar (some protein bars).

Organic foods are expensive and wild salmon is so rare in the market, I use ordinary farm salmon mostly. Though I do use organic eggs and veggies. Avocado oil? never knew this existed, gotta search for it. Thanks for the info.
