oh my gosh thank you so much for sharing your story with us. i was exactly the same as you, 5’2 at 114 lbs but then something traumatic happened in my junior year so the senior grad photo of my face was so much bigger compared to my previous years. then my body went to shit, gaining so much weight. my mom would always bring it to my attention but i wouldn’t listen because i was in denial. knowing i wasn’t the only one makes me feel less lonely and more motivated to going back to how used to be!

Abblebabbles says:

Possibly a silly question, but when you say that you eat a sugar free diet, how does fruit affect that since it has the sugar, fructose, in it? Or are simple/natural sugars okay and you avoid the more complex ones that are added into a lot of foods and drinks?

Sheila Scarlett says:

I love your videos and your meal plans!!  You inspire me!  Would you ever consider doing a video with what I eat in a day for anyone who has nut allergies and alternatives?

Ata Elbizanti says:

i really wanna buy your book but i don’t have a credit card :(((

Raj Singh says:

what a load of rubbish talk

Fit in Five says:

Great story! I am currently trying to lose 19 pounds and I’m doing it the calorie way. It’s been about a week and a half and I’ve now lost 3.6 pounds. Not a lot, but I am short like you (5 ft. 3 in.) so it feels like a lot!

Raj Singh says:

you waffle too much you shud cut out a lot of words and get to the point

Green Glitter Beauty says:

I’ve been struggling to loose weight and its been super frustrating…My youngest daughter is 17 months and I’ve stayed heavy and can’t seem to loose the extra pounds! This video couldn’t have come at a better time and I hope your channel helps me along the way! I did just find your channel today and super excited! I also want to do videos like this on my channel because I think there are so many people who are struggling 🙁 Thank you and so glad to have found you!

Marie Lament says:

When your pop up saying many dieticians and nutritionists haven’t tried losing weight that blew my mind. It never occurred to me. No wonder it’s so hard for them to understand how each person has different needs.

Farrow G says:

Hi Liezel! Loved watching your weight loss story, it was very inspirational! How many calories did you end up eating per day when trying to lose weight?

Jeanette Uddenfeldt says:

I’m curios, how is your point system different from counting calories? While the numbers are smaller, hence easier to remember, wouldn’t you still need to look up how many calories something is? Especially if you make new recipients or if you’re eating out?

Love your videos! I’m shorter than you but still heavier than at your highest. Watching your videos are a big inspiration and helps me motivated to keep going! I’m losing weight by counting calories but not as fast as I would like.

Hi! 🙂 Thanks so much for this video. I was anorexic in high school, and now have body dysmorphia. Since high school (2.5 years ago), I have gained 30 pounds…10 of those were healthy for me to have gained because I was too skinny because I was starving myself, but now I am trying to lose the 20 I have gained over the past year or so. It is just pretty difficult because I have so much stress in my life right now (I know, eliminating stress definitely helps with weight loss!), but I am a full-time student. I am graduating early so I took on more units so that I can graduate early, so there is not a ton of time I can devote to meal prep/ working out 🙁 I dance and do poppilates, which is great! But I definitely stress-eat, and do not have time to meal prep. But I am trying to diet without starving myself again :/ Anyways, thanks SO MUCH for sharing <3 I know it's really personal, so thank you.

So glad I found your channel! Sometimes it can be hard to find weight loss channels on YouTube because often channels are directed at people losing a massive amount of weight (100-200 pounds) or even more frequently there are channels run by girls giving tips on how to use 10-20 pounds (and usually these focus on fad diets or ridiculous amounts of exercise). So I’m so happy to find someone whose weight loss resembles my own!! I’m 5’6″ and a half (yes the half is important!!!) and I started my weight loss journey at close to 200 pounds, with the goal of losing 50. I lost 30 on Weight Watchers, and I agree with you about their kind of points system. While it did work for me, it ultimately just felt like a more confusing version of calorie counting. I then plateaued at just under 170 and kinda gave up on weight loss. But just a month ago I decided to get back at it and I’ve already lost another 10 with a free calorie counting app! Nutritionists who say calorie counting doesn’t work seriously need to think about why so many women are able to lose weight healthily and easily while moderating their portion sizes and eating a balance of macros. Thanks for this video and all your meal plans, seriously so helpful!

shellpaulette says:

I’m wondering why you never went on youtube earlier in your journey and researched how other people lost their weight?

James Sferrazza says:

I’m 15 and 8 months old (male), and I’m 5 foot 9 and 196 pounds. I really want to lose weight for summer and so I can get a girlfriend. Does anyone have advice? I’ve tried a couple of diets and in the end they have all seemed to not work out. Also its really confusing to me on how to keep track of an exercise and diet plan. I really need help! Thanks!

Mike Farin says:

too much talking, get to the point please.

Victoria H says:

could i have your eating plan?

k w says:

get to the point.

TheHdubs says:

You remind me so much of Christina Ricci!

LynnBean says:

The last 10 pounds succkss and it can be so demotivating at times when the scale just doesn’t want to move. It took me like 3 months to lose 6 pounds, probably need another 3 months to lose that last 4!! I’m on a diet break for 2 weeks now just to chill my metabolism and my mind out for awhile before i attack the next 3 months.

B Unit says:

It’s a long video but it’s actually worth hearing start to end. Thanks so much for all this info, you really covered so much and I can totally relate 🙂 thanks for this video!! I’m only half way so we aren’t yep up to what your solution was but I’m quite excited to hear it haha

Raj Singh says:

nobody wants to hear your story from when u was born

Ana says:

Watching this while I eat a king size pay day and drink a monster at 3 in the morning. Wonder what I’m doing wrong lol

cristina barney says:

I know you’ll probably won’t read this, but I just wanted to comment on how similar your story is to mine. My family is VERY healthy so since I was born I have always eaten really healthy foods (no wheat, no sugars and all that) and I did A LOT of exercise, so I was good and healthy. Then I went to a boarding school and since I couldn’t control my exercise or what I ate, I gained 15 kg. When I got back home I tried EVERYTHING, every diet out there and a lot of exercise for almost 5 years and I only gained more weight. I got to almost 75 kg and a year ago I decided that maybe that was the way I was and that I should just try to be happy overweight. I recently saw a video about someone that lost a lot of weight and it inspired me, so I decided to give it one last try. I downloaded an app that helps me count my calories, since it was the only thing I hadn’t tried and I started loosing weight so fast I became really excited and motivated. I found your meal plans and they REALLY helped. You have no idea how grateful I am that I found your videos. You are doing a very inspiring job and I hope you keep reaching many others like you did to me. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

geethomas says:

the only thing ive found thats worked for me is eating a balanced diet and counting my calories! trying to have more protein than any other food group but not excluding anything

monse vl says:

Love this video, i hope this will work for me, i think I’m on that point that nothing works, I had been like 6 months trying to lose weight(after a bad experience abroad that I had). I’d been eating healthy but it seems imposible to lose weight, I’ll be so so greatful if this works. Greetings for Chile! you’re an inspiration!

Kate Bradford says:

Hey Liezl! How often do you treat yourself and what with? I love my healthy treats regularly, but what about a nice ice cream or biscuit (vegan for me) every now and then?
