Schwinn 140 upright exercise bike overview and review

A quick look at the Schwinn 140 stationary bike

Jason Ortwine says:

Do your knees ever hit the handle/console?

Harold Lehmmer says:

Not sure if they offer support for this one anymore. On the other hand, I think the 130 / 170 models are newer and cheaper. Found some info on them at: BestFitnessEQ com

RoachForLife says:

Im looking to get a replacement for my aging elliptical and unsure about the recumbent vs upright debate.  Did you consider recumbent when buying this and if so, why did you choose the upright?  Lastly, its been nearly a year and a half, how is the bike holding up? Thanks

John G says:

i was just wondering whether or not the wattage readings on these models are accurate, i use the schwinn 150 and after a 15 min ride it states i average 313 watts. i feel this cant be right.

mongoosejake says:

Havent had that issue, but I ride the bike with the seatpost in the 4th position, and the saddle slid almost all of the way back on the track.

C P says:

I just got one today.  It is almost brand new.  I saw it in a neighborhood on someone’s lawn   It had a free sign on it.  I just got a $500 bike for free.  It is almost new

Dennis Rivenburg says:

I picked mine up used for $160 in mint condition and love it. I see what you mean about the seat as I will probably put a smaller one on. Great bike.

mongoosejake says:

Also, I’m about 5’9″/5’10” with a 32″ inseam.

dwight howard says:

Hey, I got the same bike but I lost my power adapter. I tried a generic adapter and it seems to work except now the fan, calories, and speed doesn’t work. Can you do me a favor and tell me the specs on your power adapter and maybe I can find a good replacement?
