The peloton bike ride was great, no doubt – I broke a solid sweat and my heart was doing the right work. An excellent cardio session for sure. Yes – there are other spin bikes out there that are much cheaper and apps/programs that offer excellent content as well. But today, we’re just focused on the Peloton. So, if you want my reviews and breakdowns of other items – just click on ‘Subscribe’ so you don’t miss my next few videos.
VERY IMPORTANT: After the cardio there is still a LOT a person needs for proper, balanced fitness – in order to get the results we all desire.
We need bodyweight resistance training for strength, muscle-toning, boosting metabolism, balance, flexibility for range of motion, etc…
For example – this video shows a combination of resistance training modalities that can be done at home:
You’ll see bodyweight exercises, resistance band exercises, suspension strap exercises and sometimes a few dumbbell exercises that you don’t see in typical gyms and health clubs.
Again – we all need cardio for heart & health benefits and to help with weight management – BUT, without proper muscle-conditioning exercises – the body will remain soft, mushy and weak – if if your weight is down and you look ok in clothes – you’ll still feel “so so” when naked – and you’ll miss out on all the other benefits of a properly structured, well-rounded home fitness program that trains the body in all aspects (strength, toning, flexibility, metabolism, etc) – and not just one (cardio)
