It’s not about building muscle it’s about endurance. Go and try riding 20 minutes of an MX track at race speed and how much muscle helps you. These guys are way stronger and fitter than most of the buff looking guys I see in my gym.
Remember…he’s not a bodybuilder trying to get huge muscles so it’s a little different style of training from what you’ll see in your typical gym. This looks way more useful for riding than just doing bench presses and curls.

i honestly dont think it is for your shoulders, its a variation of a flat dumbbell press. which is an exercise for chest and triceps mainly. im curious as to how the shoulders would be a big part of riding?
With that stupid exercises the only thing you do is loosing weight, like running…. it doesn’t make sense to use machines if you do the exercises like that, they won’t grow up any ******* muscle with that

I really don’t get the point of doing a variation of the bench press on a stability ball. It seems like doing fast reps on a bouncing ball adds momentum to the movement which reduces the amount of strain on your muscle tissue. You’d probably get better results doing slow reps on a normal bench.

anyone thinking you need a cross fit, gymnast balls and fancy exercises to reach a high level of fitness, you dont. push ups, pull ups, weightless squats are enough; look up a guy called fedor emelyanenko

I love it how all the idiots on here think they know better than one of the best riders in the world.. with all the money experience and factory backing I am sure he knows best.. will be trying out a few of these workouts myself! some look funny I know but I am sure he isn’t doing them just for the fun of it!.
